Trust, Estate, and Probate Administration
The death of a loved one is never an easy experience and it is quite common for a survivor to be left wondering, “What do I do now?” when it comes to concluding the affairs of a loved one after they pass.
We are able to gently guide our clients through the probate process, including the administration of trusts and estates, for the benefit of current and future beneficiaries.
Marshalling assets, reporting to the probate court, communicating with creditors, and advising on distribution options are only a few of the considerations that must be addressed during the process.
Depending on the type of trust involved, administration of trusts can be a lengthy and involved process. The interests of future and current beneficiaries must be weighed and evaluated, keeping in mind the intent of the grantor and the various laws and taxing authorities that may impinge upon the trust.
